Xeynergy started in 2021 with six engineers, no outside investment and no office. Five years later it is an 80+ person technology company with multi million dollar recurring revenue, on track to cross 100 people by the end of 2026.

It was founded by three technologists with decades of combined experience: CEO Sanjaya Bentotage, Head of Engineering Maleen Cooray, and Head of Products and Operations Ruwanthi Abeywickrama. They built the company around a deliberate model. Fewer clients, harder problems, and deep long term partnerships instead of high volume outsourcing.

Xeynergy builds software for US and international clients across the full technology lifecycle: engineering, QA and test automation, product management, DevOps and support.

How it is handling AI

Most services companies see AI as a threat to their business. Xeynergy treated it as a mandate to move first. In 2025 it built FASE, its own Framework for AI Assisted Software Engineering, restructuring how its engineers work alongside AI.

Then it went beyond services. Xeynergy now builds its own AI products:

Accxis360 is an AI driven workforce automation platform spanning recruitment to performance management. BetterCode AI is an agentic platform for modernising and automating the software development lifecycle.

Why it matters

A company built through Sri Lanka's toughest economic years, bootstrapped, disciplined and profitable, is now building AI tooling and exporting it globally.

For any founder watching: Sri Lanka is where you find engineers who can execute, and it is also where companies are being built to lead the AI transition.
