Infomate turned that into a global business.

From group finance to global clients

Infomate was founded in 2005 as a wholly owned subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, Sri Lanka's largest listed conglomerate, with 150+ years of history across 70+ companies. It started by running finance for the group itself, then pioneered shared services in Sri Lanka and took the model global.

Two decades later: 600+ professionals, grown from a team of 60. 150+ clients across 10+ countries and four continents. Three delivery facilities. ISO 27001 certified. It runs on the platforms global finance is built on: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics and Xero.

Its clients include Fortune 500 companies and 100+ blue chip firms across the UK, US, Australia and the Nordic region. In 2025, Everest Group recognised Infomate in its Finance and Accounting Outsourcing PEAK Matrix assessment.

A 16 year client relationship

One client, a Norwegian accounting firm, evaluated 20 potential partners in Sri Lanka before choosing Infomate in 2010. They still work together today, and call the partnership "of vital strategic importance."

Beyond Colombo

Infomate built Sri Lanka's first rural BPO centres in Jaffna, Mahawilachchiya and Seenigama, bringing global finance careers to parts of the country that outsourcing usually ignores.

Leading it is CEO Jehan Perinpanayagam, a CIMA qualified professional with 25+ years of experience who pioneered Sri Lanka's first shared services operation and the country's first rural BPOs.
