The University of Moratuwa is one of the top global contributors to Google Summer of Code, and has been since 2004.
SLIIT, the country's largest private tech university, serves 25,000+ students and was ranked joint third in Sri Lanka by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
These are engineers with deep computer science fundamentals, well beyond what a boot camp produces.
Companies like IFS, WSO2 and 99x hire directly from these pipelines, and have done so successfully for decades.
