Superloop is one of Australia's fastest growing telecommunications companies. It is listed on the ASX (SLC), with 900+ employees and 400,000+ customers, running carrier grade fibre and fixed wireless networks across Australia.

Part of the technical operation behind that network runs from Colombo.

What the Colombo team does

Superloop's Sri Lanka team works across network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud and infrastructure, and 24x7 network operations supporting the company's enterprise, wholesale and international customers. These are the engineers who keep an Australian national network running around the clock.

How Superloop treats that team

Two things are worth noting. Salaries are benchmarked to the Australian dollar, and every employee receives company stock, alongside healthcare cover and a workspace in the centre of Colombo.

It is another example of the same pattern. An established, publicly listed international company chose Sri Lanka as a place to run technical operations its entire business depends on, and it pays its Sri Lankan engineers on an international benchmark to do it.
