Michelin is one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world, operating in 175+ countries with 130,000+ employees.

Part of the technology backbone that keeps it running is based in Colombo.

A delivery hub for a continent

Michelin's team at Orion City includes 100+ IT professionals who deliver End User Experience (EUX) services: equipment, software and IT support across Michelin's business operations throughout Asia. They coordinate directly with the North America team to keep standards consistent worldwide.

Alongside it, Michelin runs a Shared Service Center in Colombo handling procurement and core support functions for the group.

This is a delivery hub plugged into Michelin's global operations. Sri Lankan professionals here manage IT infrastructure and support for one of the world's most recognised industrial brands across an entire continent.

Why Colombo

When a 130 year old global manufacturer chooses Colombo to run IT operations for all of Asia, cost is only part of the reason. It needs the talent, the language skills and the reliability to keep a global business moving, and it found them here.
