Frontwalker Group is a Swedish technology company that has been building enterprise and public sector software for 35+ years. It is publicly listed in Stockholm on NGM Nordic SME, and governed by the transparency and accountability standards that listing demands.
It calls its Colombo operation its global tech center. The company does not describe it as a branch or a support office.
From Econsulate to the centre of the group
Frontwalker's Sri Lanka team, formerly known as Econsulate and now fully integrated into the Swedish group, runs 100+ engineers who have delivered 250+ projects across AI systems, digital platforms, full stack product engineering and agile team deployment.
The company describes its own model as "the intersection of Nordic trust and Sri Lankan innovation."
A 35 year old listed European company puts its global engineering center in Colombo because the talent there is good enough to carry the group's product delivery worldwide, for startups, scaleups and enterprises alike.
The same story, a different flag
Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch and Australian companies keep arriving at the same conclusion. The engineering they need is in Sri Lanka.
